FAQ

What happens after I book my session?
We will select a session date, schedule a consultation and ordering appointment. At your consultation appointment, we will discuss your session in detail (ie: fashion, hair, makeup, locations, etc). On the day of your session, we will review your wardrobe and help you feel and look your best with professional hair/makeup. After we have put together your story, we will meet up and share everything you at the ordering appointment.

We offer in-studio and on-location sessions.
Most clients prefer the energy that comes with an on-location session. However, we do offer in-studio options.

What is a consultation appointment?
Your consultation will take place before your photo shoot. At this appointment, we will talk about locations, outfits, hair/makeup, ideas, timeline, collections and what will happen after session.

What is an ordering appointment?
This is when you get to see your images and place your order. Your ordering appointment will be approximately 10-14 days after your session and will be pre-scheduled at your consultation. Ordering appointments are during business hours on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Please set aside 1-2 hours for this appointment and we ask that small children are not in attendance. Our latest appointment is at 4:30pm.

When will you receive an order?
Your portraits will be ready for pickup, approximately 4-6 weeks after your order is placed.

How long does John Pyle photography keep images on file?

Keep in mind that session fees are non-refundable and you will be given one opportunity to reschedule.
